  1. Anse Source d'Argent - La Digue. This is one of the worlds most photographed beaches, with huge granite boulders framing the white sands.
  2. Anse Georgette - Praslin. This hidden beach is the perfect hideaway and you can sometimes treat it as your own.
  3. Anse Lazio - Praslin. Often voted as one of the best beaches in the world it's a must see.
  4. Baie Lazare - Mahé. Located in the south, the beach is easy to access and has beautiful soft sands adorned by huge granite boulders.
  5. Beau Vallon - Mahé. The livliest of the beaches, this is the only place for thrill seekers to experience motorised watersports. Surrounding facilities and the market make it a fun place to visit.

Anse Aux Pins on Mahé has a narrow beach with shallow waters great for snorkelling and seeing the marine life trapped in the rock pools. 

On Praslin, head for Anse Boudin, a long, slender strip of powder-soft sand and calm water perfect for swimming and snorkelling. 

On the island of La Digue, Anse la Reunion features a long, curving sun-soaked beach, or head to Grand Anse Beach to see interesting rock formations and bright blue waters.
