Le Mayeur Museum

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing Sanur holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

The Belgian impressionist artist Jean Le Mayeur made his home in Sanur in the 1930's and today, his house has been converted into a museum displaying some of his best work.

Located just off the beachfront path, Le Mayeur lived in the house from 1932-1958 along with his Balinese wife who frequently posed for his paintings. As well as the stunning artwork, a visit to this museum will also offer you beautiful examples of Balinese architecture with intricate carved windows shutters and traditional interiors made from woven fibres.
