Montmorency Falls Quebec

Although not as thunderous as the Niagara Falls, at 272 feet the Montmorency Falls stands around 100 feet higher and is no less beautiful.

On approach, feel the spray land gently on your face as you gaze up to where the river cascades off the cliff face. If you're feeling energetic, take the stairs to the top, or opt for the easy ride in the cable car to admire the view at leisure. At the top of the falls, you can take the suspension bridge to Le Monoir Montmorency for a spot of elegant dining.

If you're visiting during the winter months, expect to see the waterfall as it freezes to form spectacular ice formations and a mound of powdery snow at its base, earning the falls it nickname of 'Pain du Sucre' - translating to 'sugarloaf'.
