Peru is a great year-round destination. It’s generally warmer on the coast from October to May with temperatures in Lima reaching between 20–27°C. The rainy season generally falls across the mountain regions from December to April, and January to May is a good time to visit the Galapagos as the waters are calmer. 

The best time to book Peru holidays is from May to September.

Peru has roughly three climates, the Amazon, coastal desert and Andean mountains, but is generally wet from November to March and dry for the rest of the year.

Enjoy dry, bright and sunny weather from May to September, with the best visibility for Macchu Picchu. It’s warmer on the coast, but in the Andes expect an alpine climate with cold nights and mornings, with daytime temperatures reaching 20°C. May to September receives the lowest amount of rainfall and you’ll have up to 11 hours of daylight for sightseeing.
