Itinerary Breakdown

Spend the morning in Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, checking out the dining and shopping opportunities which can be found around almost every corner. You will soon see why Papeete is a popular departure port for most cruises in the South Pacific. Embarkation for The Gauguin begins at 3pm, plenty of time for you to enjoy lunch in the beautiful city before heading to the port to board. 

Arriving at Huahine at 8.00am, you have a fully day ahead of you to explore the dense rainforests and the enchanting lagoon of Huahine. Known as the "The Garden Island", the island has a little something for everybody, you will find some of the best preserved sacred sites and archaeological landmarks. For those wishing to check out to life beneath the water, there are numerous snorkelling excursions (payable locally) available, or why not partake in the scuba diving lessons to learn the basics.

Another full day, this time on Taha'a, an island only accessible by boat. You have to opportunity to relax on Motu Mahana, a private island just for Paul Gauguin cruises. You will be welcomed by traditional music, get to enjoy a beachside barbecue and plenty of chances to enjoy the surrounding waters. Of course, you can always explore Taha'a if you prefer, with numerous excursions, by land or air, showing you Taha'a's exquisite backdrop. Known as Vanilla Island as it produces 80% of Islands of Tahiti's vanilla, we would recommend spending some time at one of the Vanilla Plantations. 

The time has arrived for you to spend two days in the idyllic location of Bora Bora. A bucket list destination for many, you will have plenty of time to explore the white sand beaches, picturesque lagoons and of course Mount Otemanu. There are numerous ways for you to get the most out of your time on the island, you can explore by air, being shown the beautiful island by either plane or helicopter. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, there are still many ways for you to explore, off-road adventures, aquabike adventures or you can choose to spend that days relaxing on the beaches which has Bora Bora famous. 

With two days to spend in Moorea, you have the chance to explore both the beautiful scenery and the underwater world. Explore the island on one of the many land based excursions, seeing the spectacular vista's or take a off-road safari inside the volcanic crater. For those wishing to stretch their legs, join a five hour hiking tour of the Sister Island's three coconut trails. There are many ways to experience the enchanting underwater world. You can enjoy a dolphin expedition or why not take a walk underwater on an Aquablue walk, allowing you to get yo close to the marine life.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and that is the same with this cruise. You will disembark from the cruise ship at approximately 8.00am.
