Out of this world!

From the moment we arrived at Muscat International Airport, we knew we had booked a quality hotel with outstanding services. Upon arrival at muscat airport, to our horror, we discovered our luggage had been tampered with during transit and different locks put back on our cases. we couldn't access our belongings. This is when our meet and greet Hisham from The Chedi was an incredible asset to the hotel. He scoured the entire brand new airport in order to speak to someone from the Etihad head office. His perseverance was paid off with the matter being resolved directly with manager of etihad. Thank you so much Hisham..don't know what we would've done without him! We stayed for 6 nights in the Serai room. The hotel itself is amazing...really does takes your breath away. Stunning landscape gardens and pools...the long chedi pool being our favourite. Staff can't do enough to help. From Rajan who made sure our personal taste buds were catered for at breakfast, to Sheryl at reception who made sure our room had all the room amenities suited to our personal needs before our arrival. And not forgetting Denis at poolside, who always had a friendly smile. On our last day we were absolutely taken aback when the kind Executive Manager Mr Said Al Amri arranged a complimentary late check out till 8pm, as our flight was at midnight! A truly exceptional and wonderful act of kindness...thank you! What an amazing, down to earth and humble gentleman....reflective of all Omani people who made us feel so welcome the duration of our stay. Thank you for all the staff at the chedi. Keep up the great work!

If you can, you must...

Visit the Chedi. One of the most beautifully architecturally pleasing hotels in the Middle East. Perfectly manicured lawns, an abundance of trees and tiled walkways between them offer photo opportunities at every turn, this hotel is beauty incarnate. The suites are spacious enough for a one child family and the subtle touches you expect in a high end hotel are not overlooked. Room service is as good and perhaps better than anywhere else we have stayed with delicious dishes and served to restaurant standard in the comfort of your own room. The restaurant itself is welcoming and well attended. The wine list expansive and ranges from the quite reasonable to the wildly expensive, so something for everyone. Personable and charming staff complete a well run holiday experience and my only gripe was the breakfast buffet selection which I found a bit limited. Other than that tiny point, our second stay there was without fault. Thank you all at the Chedi for working so hard to make holidays memories. 9/10
