Disgusting. Don’t bother.

Yackandandah, Australia

Checked into one room at midnight to find a massive wet patch on the carpet. Went out and advised check in staff of the issue. Offered us another room but we assumed it would just dry. At 3am when trying to shower, we quickly learnt the wet patch was from a shower that wouldn’t drain and the water from there soaked through the wall onto the carpet. Then we changed. The second room didn’t have a wet patch (winning!) but it did have a bright orange cord coming down from the TV on the wall, running down the side of the room to a power source. This may have been ok except for the side wall where the cord ran didn’t have carpet all the way to the wall. The space the cord ran through had super sharp nails sticking out for the carpet that wasn’t there. Live power cable. Lots of super sharp nails. We stayed away from that wall. That aside the room was quite small (could be forgiven) but the bathroom was tiny and had no ventilation. Anything in the bathroom became soaked if you had a shower. Horrible. The proximity to Times Square is great but spend a little bit more and avoid this place at all costs.

Don’t stay

24/7 construction on either side of the hotel granted untill 2021, rooms are quite small, bathroom very dirty, build up of mold and grime on facilities, lup warm water and no heating in room, lifts take quite a time depending on which floor you are on, staff are quite friendly, do not stay here untill after 2021 with the granted construction as you will not get much sleep, personally wouldn’t stay here again we actually got a hotel transfer with our agent as I’m an epileptic losing sleep made the the trip worthless, having a dirty bathroom and no heating or proper hot water basic facilities a general hostel would be better, managed to tip the manager to get a room upgrade but was the same, only a larger bed, avoid at all costs
