Located in the French Quarter of New Orleans, the vibrant French Market stretches inland from the Mississippi River.

It began as a Native American trading post and has existed as a market since 1971. Over the years, it has grown into a five-block, open air market selling handmade and specialty products, with numerous authentic Creole and New Orleans restaurants.

Explore the farmer’s market or the numerous flea market stalls, watch free musical shows, or sip a coffee at Café du Monde. Artists, fortune tellers and street performers line Jackson Square where you can also pick up traditional trinkets like voodoo dolls and fleur-de-lis jewellery. Weekends often see the market especially busy with live music drawing the crowds.
