Amazing family holiday

We recently spent 5 nights there and simply could not have enjoyed it more. The location and food were simply wonderful with beautiful, pristine beaches that were virtually empty of people and excellent food: the seafood in particular was outstanding with imaginative dishes every day. The rooms are a great blend of style, informality and comfort, our bed was particularly comfortable, and the walkways up and down and between the trees helped create a very forest like atmosphere. The views were stunning as is the location in general. What really makes an impression, however, is the staff who could not have been more friendly or helpful. Martin, Cosmo, Marc, Josias, Claudio and all of you: you are legends and you all helped in making our stay completely special. You really did go the extra mile. Thank you Machangulo. Long will you live in our memories The Down Family

Amazing location, Fantastic Diving team, rest is a bit lacking

We loved the beach and the diving team/equipment and diving spots.. The bungalow was very well equipped and quite comfortable (though the closet space is minimal given the room sizes).. The service was overall adequate though definitely not 5 stars. The food overall lacks fresh local produce (avocado, mango, orange juice, lemon, nuts etc etc etc).. For example most juices are from cans and fresh varied salads are lacking, quality olive oil is not there... (or olive oil for that matter) The breakfast lacks freshly brewed strong coffee or a variety of teas. It is somewhat surprising that small details like this which make a big difference are not addressed. The guest experience staff is present and attentive, but personally I would urge them to skip the 30' introduction about how the Lodge works upon arrival and check-in, given that most travelers come from several hours driving plus 2 hours on a speed boat and all they want (at least in our case) is to get to the villa and chill... To summarize; go there to dive and be on top of an amazing isthmus..... Final note: Ask for Paulo & right hand man (Rastafarian name I forgot) to be your diving teachers. They are amazing!!!
