the most amazing holiday

Stellenbosch, South Africa

We have just spent 5 days and 4 nights on Medjumbe Island - and it was the most amazing few days - the service is excellent - but I mean EXCELLENT!! - the venue is perfect - and the food out of this world. There is no plastic to be seen anywhere on the island - all the activities are of the highest quality - the snorkeling superb - and at all times there is someone to help you. The island is incredibly safe and it was a pleasure not to have to worry - we left our cell phones, ipads etc in the villa - all unlocked - it was truly the most amazing few days. Mike and Michelle are the perfect hosts - but what stands out even more are the staff - all wonderful people. I can highly, highly recommend taking a break and going there for a few days

Paradise Found

cape town

If tranquility & serenity, white sandy beaches with clear turquoise water is what you're looking for in an island getaway, Medjumbe is where you'll find it. If you're looking for Showtime & after-dinner entertainment, this won't be for you. We spent 6 wonderful nights on the island & left feeling relaxed, pampered & well-fed. The level of service was old-school warm & friendly with all staff members more than going the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Mike & Michelle, the management team, made sure that every whim was taken care of, from the menu choices (decided with the chef himself) to the G & T's delivered to our patio just before sunset. The seafood meals ranked right up there with the best we've had - from grouper at lunchtime to the prawns & lobster under the stars at dinner. But we didn't go just for the food - the scuba diving sites displayed some pristine corals, & some exciting wall diving. The only concern was a noticeable dearth of reef fish. Thanks Mike & Michelle for making our holiday truly memorable. We look forward to returning to the Tropical Island Paradise of Medjumbe.
