Heure Bleue Palais

Heure Bleue Palais

Originally built at the end of the 18th century, on the ruins of an ancient ‘fondouk’, otherwise known as a hostel for travelling traders, Heure Bleue Palais now sits as a charming riad, and a proud member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association, positioned against the rampart that ends the medina of Essaouira. Before opening as a hotel in 2004, it also served as an orphanage and then a home to the Azoulay family.

As with any traditional riad, the fountain sits at the heart, and remains the popular meeting point for guests. Whilst retaining cachet of a authentic Moroccan mansion, Heure Bleue Palais offers all the comforts that a guest would expect during their stay. The elegant decor throughout the living rooms, bedrooms, suites and lounges marries the European, Mediterranean, Arab and African influences of the city.

Discover the roof terrace, where you can relax beside the pool, dine at the Terrace Grill, and admire the breathtaking views of the old city at sunset. Whether you choose to spend a couple of nights here, with a combination to Marrakech, as a Marrakech & Essaouira Multi Centre, or a longer duration to explore Essaouira and all that there is to offer, Heure Bleue Palais represents history, culture and romance that will be appreciated by all who choose to stay.
