Wedding!

Morrisville, North Carolina

I just left this beautiful resort. My stay was 18-23Apr2019. The trip was amazing and I have been to a lot of resorts and places throughout the Caribbean and this was definitely a top. Pros: The grounds were clean and the flowers were amazing. We had a preferred room so we were taken to get checked in quickly. The room was amazing and very spacious. They have electronic tablets so you can see what is going on and order room service. The room was cool and clean. We had a pool outside our patio so we could swim whenever we wanted. And relax on comfy outside couches. We had a concierge Gabriela to direct us and provide us with places to go. There was about 3-4 pools and a jacuzzi and one pool had a swim up bar. They also had a wait staff to serve you around the pool and at the beach. There was plenty of chairs. They were activities by the pool that was very fun. I made sure to attend the water cycle class daily with my favorite entertainment member Mixli!!! I also did water aerobics with my 2nd favorite person Octavio!!! They kept us entertained and fit so we could enjoy drinking and eating later on. There was multiple restaurant to eat at. The food at Oceana was the best!!! The ceviche and Salmon was delicious!!! So fresh. We went for a wedding and it was on the beach. The staff was so attentive. They made sure onlookers didn’t get to close but was still able to view from a reasonable distance. The food at the reception was good and the atmosphere was fantastic. They have an on-site club called Desire. We party hard in there. Cons: Desire need a real DJ and not a track that just plays. El Patio food was not that good and Portofino they added too much cheese to everything. At the pool area they collected the floats too early. The sun was still out at 6 so at last give us until 7. There was a lot of seaweed. But they were working very hard to get it removed. But it was hard to go snorkeling. Beware their are very sharp coral/rocks in the ocean shore. My friend cut his foot. They did have the lifeguard clean it so they were very fast to react. Bring extra sunscreen the sun is vicious. Lastly the darn mosquitoes. They attack but the resort provides spray for your room but you need to bring some for your body. Overall: We really enjoyed ourselves. The shows were great, the people were friendly. I would definitely recommend and go back. Note: Go to Tulum instead of Playa de Carmen. Playa de Carmen is a tourist trap and crowded. But the beach is beautiful to see. Also the airport is chaotic. Make sure to secure your transportation before going.

Everything was amazing! The service, the room, the beach & snorkeling, the drinks, the food, the preferred club and the people. We were blown away!! We saw turtles every morning and the coral and variety of tropical fish directly out from the beach was amazing!! Food was fantastic!!
