Weldon Spring, Missouri

We had a lovely time at this resort. The best was the day we took the ferry to Cozumel swam with the stingrays and snorkeled. They then dropped us at the Palace in Cozumel where we could enjoy their pool and bar. We then freshened up in a hospitality room and enjoyed sunset and dinner at their Mexican restaurant. We then took the late ferry back. Wonderful day, I think you need to be a higher member in the Palace to do this, but it was great. This is a smaller place, no issues for dinner and the Mayan restaurant is a MUST. It is a hidden gem and a romantic dinner for two. You must try all of the courses. The activity people were good. We took a short bike ride through the rest of Playacar area. The beach the week we were there was awful, hopefully the sargassum is gone!! Overall it was wonderful!!

Yes and no

My husband and I recently visited Playacar Palace. This was our first time at this resort as members. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. While it is a beautiful location right by 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen, we found it to be small, we were unable to use the beach area as there was tons of seaweed which attracted small flies. The staff worked very hard ti clean it up bit the seaweed just kept coming. Also the pool is not big and by the afternoon it was quite noisy. The music was loud and mostly techno. The staff was friendly especially the wait staff, Sylvia was attentive and sweet. The entertainment staff was fun. If you like small, you will like it, not much for children to do, and we like to have more pool options and beach Gisela Catano-Mahoney
