Unforgettable paradise

My wife and I just came back from our second time staying at Fairmont Mayakoba on the Mayan Riviera. The first time we visited, we stayed for 5 nights but went on different tours 3 days so we couldn’t really enjoy the hotel amenities. This time, we stayed for 6 nights and only coordinated one tour so we could really enjoy everything the hotel has to offer and get pampered. With 3 restaurants (“La Laguna”, “El Puerto” and “Las Brisas”), a lounge and a couple of bars, multiple swimming pools, spa and a private beach, there is no need to go out of the resort. (Except to explore some archaeological sites of course). The friendly staff provided an amazing service during our whole stay, but the highlight of our trip was the “Las Olas” Bar by the swimming pool. Alejandro, one of the bartenders and the manager Araceli went above and beyond to create something that we will remember for a long time. One day talking to Alejandro, I mentioned that the first time we visited the resort, we tried something amazing at one of the restaurants but we where a little bit disappointed to know they took it out of the menu so we couldn’t order it again. Without telling us much, Alejandro and Araceli organized a surprise lunch for us by the pool featuring this mouth-watering food we enjoyed last time. To make it even more memorable, they didn’t know, but that day was my birthday. What a way to welcome the 32! Thank you Alejandro, Araceli and Fairmont Mayakoba team for an amazing week! We are definitely going back and bringing family over next time.

Staff is amazing and resort is beautiful!

We went to Fairmont Mayakoba before Christmas and it was a great time to go as we were traveling with our infant and the resort wasn't too crowded. The resort is beautiful and they take the best care of you. They were very accommodating with us traveling with our baby. They had the rooms set up with a crib and all of the necessities we needed for him. The restaurants are amazing. I highly recommend El Puerto. The sushi is so fresh and they have great specials. We ate there 3 times in a row. Every night we ended at the Lobby Bar and Paola was our server. It is open until 1am and Paola will make you want to come back every night. She is so vibrant and welcoming and fun to talk to. We couldn't get enough of her and the lobby bar. My husband loves cigars and it was our 2 year anniversary. She was so helpful at picking out a last minute anniversary cigar and brought desserts and special cocktails for us to help celebrate. We also LOVED Freddy, the bartender/server at the pool bar. We wanted to take him and Paola home with us! With the resort not being very crowded, those two really added that "at home" feeling. We will definitely be back soon and couldn't be happier with the continued Fairmont resort treatment.
