Perfect beach vacation

Seattle, Washington

Just returned from 7 days at Dreams...first time there, 2nd in Nuevo Vallarta. Our goal was to relax and that's what we did. There weren't a whole lot of activities or night life, but that was fine with us. Avg age seemed to be upper 50s/low 60s. Highlights: beach proximity, nice walking path in front of the hotel, friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms, good food, 24 hour cafe. Oceana had the most amazing BLT breakfast sandwich that I had almost every day. Great service from Pablo, Catherine and Andres. The pool waiters/bartenders were also the very best remembering our drinks and coming around every 6 minutes. Thanks to Chuy, Julio, Christian, Gerardo and Ramon for keeping the drinks flowing. The grill had yummy burgers and burritos. Fernando was great. Thanks also to Guadalupe for keeping our room clean every day and folding our clothes...what a treat. We also enjoyed the fresh sushi at Gohan's (best kept secret and perfect place to watch the sunset) and fabulous dinners at El Patio and Portofino. Thanks to the Concierge Supervisor (Gerardo?) for helping us confirm our return airport transpo. While the sashimi at Gohan's was fantastic, the service was less than. Several people got tired of waiting for service and just went to the bar themselves even though it wasn't too busy. Suggestion for the room jacuzzis, add non-slip tape to the stairs and bottom. Super slippery even when careful. We'll definitely be back.
