Beachfront luxury

Situated on the white sands of Isla Holbox, with the emerald green jungle as a backdrop, Las Nubas is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel. Relax by the pool, take to the beach and watch the pelicans and flamingos, or book yourself on the hotel's excursion to swim with the magnificent whale sharks, there is plenty to do in the hotel. If you are looking to explore the traditional island why not take a stroll to the small vibrant town of Holbox, or else rent a golf buggy and explore the island.

Absolutely perfect!

It was not our first time to Holbox, but it was our first at Las Nubes and our first time with our toddler son! Las Nubes is beautiful, the last hotel before an expanse of nature and perched in front of the kiteboarding beach. The staff was phenomenal and warm. We loved arriving back to Las Nubes calm vibe each day. The mellow water and fine sand provided a perfect place to camp out for the day and play with tasty cocktails and attentive service. The kite boards provided amazing entertainment during nap time as our son snoozed in our comfy room we relaxed in the hammock on the balcony enjoying the show. The upstairs bar was also a magical spot to watch the kite boarders and catch the sunset. We will definitely return!

Serenity to spare

Boston, Massachusetts

My husband and I spent four days at this delightful hotel in January and can't wait to go back. The location, at the far end of the main beach abutting a wildlife preserve, is nothing short of FABULOUS! The property's low-key vibe was exactly what we were craving, and our casita by the pool was spotless and comfortable. The staff is charming, the service and food excellent (try the fish tacos at the beach club), and nature lovers will flip for what's right off the front deck -- namely, a sandbar that extends for miles. A quick wade over to it and off you go to revel in birds, air, sky, sand, and seashells. We didn't use the free kayaks or bikes, but plan to next time we visit. Oh, and don't miss the wonderful roof deck -- it's great for star-gazing! It's about a 15-minute walk into town along the gorgeous beach, and taxis are plentiful and cheap if you prefer to ride. Holbox is paradise on earth, and this lovely hotel makes the most of it.
