40th Anniversary in Paradise!!

Baltimore, Maryland

After 8 amazing nights here I can’t believe we have to go home to cold weather in Maryland!! We are still here until noon so I thought I would write my review while looking at the beautiful ocean!! There are really not words adequate to describe this place. I read so many reviews but really you just need to come here and let the staff spoil you rotten!! They are very good at it! We loved our butlers Connie, Manuel and Samuel. From the moment you step out of your ride they welcome you in the most gorgeous open air lobby with a margarita for your hand and mariachi band playing!! Talk about first impressions!!! I seriously could go on and on but I’ll just tell you we stayed in an ocean view terrace suite and it’s really ocean front to me! 507. We ate at all the restaurants and loved them especially last night at Arbol. The beach is pristine and you will be escorted to your chairs and served all day by Romina, Oscar, Hugo , Manuel and Gilman and many other incredible staff members who will look after your every need!!! The pools are all incredible. The spa was perfecto and Alma gave the best signature massage I’ve ever had!!! Just trust me and go to this magic place and be pampered beyond anything you’ve ever had!! It’s expensive but absolutely worth every cent. The staff love their jobs and Rosewood which is very important to my husband and I . We also took an incredible sunset sail to see the Arch where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. I highly recommend and the butlers will arrange everything for you. Go enjoy relax!! Now we are off to cold weather and are already talking about our next vacation to this Stunning resort!!! Adios

At the top of the heap in Cabo

Menlo Park

Las Ventanas (as well as the 2.45-hour nonstop from SFO) is the only reason we go to Cabo. We have, er, tested the waters at other Cabo resorts (Auberge Esperanza, Auberge Chileno Bay, Pedregal [which is no way in the same league]). New properties are opening but not even the rumored Aman holds any allure for us. This was our third stay in an LVP Signature villa, six days. The hard product is superb yet what makes a stay stellar is the kind, attentive but non-intrusive care of the host butler. My husband Jim is in mid-stage dementia. Enrique's willingness to engage Jim with genuine friendship was the most graceful gift imaginable. We waited each day for the sun to lower and around 5pm started to play and float in the private pool. Managed to drag ourselves out of the pool around 7:30pm for dinner in the villa at 8pm. Lobster and red snapper are fab, the creamed mushrooms, too. For breakfast in the villa ask for huevos rancheros, cheese enchiladas, egg burrito, served with the magnificent fruit plate. Do not miss the hot chocolate -- it is utterly splendid in Mexico. We prefer the emphasis here on Mexican culture and ambience. Actually, we love this aspect of Las Ventanas. Returning in May or November. Love the weather in November.
