A gastronomic hub, the flavours and dishes that have been exported from Mexico are loved and enjoyed across the world. On this suggested multi centre you will visit two food capitals of Mexico and indulge on a gastronomic journey. In Mexico City, discover delicious street food at the Mercado Roma as well as uncovering Mexico's famous Mayan history at the National Museum of Anthropology. Escape the city on the second part of this journey and head to the coastal town of Puerto Vallarta. A traditional Mexican town with cobbled streets, quaint churches and stunning views of the Bay of Banderas. Walk along the El Malecon boardwalk where street performers entertain as you visit cafes, bars and restaurants serving mouth-watering cuisine. Spend lazy days on the beach under the warm Mexican sun, visit the marina or enjoy cocktails by the pool at your chosen resort.

Mexico City

Mexico City is a thriving cosmopolitan, where ancient ruins and traditions fuse fantastically with modern ways and gleaming skyscrapers. Food is at the heart of everything Mexicans do and their pride and hospitality is as warm as the temperatures. During your stay in Mexico City we recommend heading to another city - the ancient city of Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Head south of the city and visit Xochimilco - where the canals are the veins of the neighbourhood and the famous, colourful boats are the last remnants of a water transport system built by the Aztecs.

Pacific Coast

Mexico's Pacific Coast has a unique charm and a different atmosphere to other resorts such as Cancun. Puerto Vallarta is a traditional Mexican town and has stunning architecture and cobbled streets as well as the El Malecon boardwalk - stretching a mile long and decorated with performers, artists and bars and restaurants. Other areas on the Pacific Coast include Riviera Nayarit which is a 200 mile stretch of coastline, boasting stunning beaches and captivating attractions including Islas Marietas National Park.
