Mascarene Islands Multi-Centre Holiday
In the southwest of the Indian Ocean, three tropical islands collectively create the Mascarene Archipelago. Mauritius, Rodrigues and Reunion, each boasting its own charming unique character beyond the beauty of its immaculate beaches. Discover the magic of each of the three with our Mascarene Islands multi-centre holiday.
In Mauritius, there are dozens of lively bars and restaurants to enjoy, day and night. Sip on a cocktail in a world class beachfront bar where the service is nothing short of impeccable. Visit some of the best snorkelling and diving spots in the archipelago and swim with the endemic marine life as well as turtles and sharks.
Just northeast of Mauritius awaits the lesser travelled Rodrigues. Home to rugged mountains and an unhurried way of life, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the phenomenal views of the Indian Ocean islands but without the crowds or any kind of bustle. In this quieter stretch of land you’ll find yourselves surrounded by huge blue lagoons, where you can discover hidden gems, off the beaten track paths and explore the colourful array of sea life.
After enjoying the tranquil way of life in Rodrigues, fly over to the last piece of the Mascarene puzzle - Reunion. A piece of France in the Indian Ocean, this underrated paradise has bounties for adventurers to discover. Explorers have nearly 600 miles of hiking trails to enjoy through canyon, waterfalls, volcano walls and evergreen forests.
Mauritius

Mauritius is renowned for its pristine sands, luxury hospitality and glamourous beachfront hotels. Its immaculate white beaches, wonderfully warm waters and celestial oceans views have become a honeymoon favourite - but Mauritius is perfect for families and solo travellers too. It’s the ultimate destination to unwind, pamper yourself and leave city stresses behind.
Scuba diving is a great way to explore the fascinating marine life here in Mauritius, with plenty of diving and snorkelling opportunities around the island. Start at Blue Bay Marine Park and swim with stingrays, porcupine fish, octopus and turtles. For family friendly diving in calm waters, head to At Trou aux Biches.
Be sure to finish your day with a taste of the deliciously fragrant Mauritian cuisine, where Creole and Indian flavours take full reign.
Rodrigues

Northeast of the better known Mauritius lies the charming Indian Ocean pearl of Rodrigues. Wrapped around a crystal blue lagoon twice the size of the island, this lesser known stretch of sand is perfect for scuba divers and water sports enthusiasts. A rich and diverse coral reef eco system boasts a bounty of marine life - you’re likely to see barracuda, parrot fish and a colourful assortment of marine life. Rodriguan waters are so rich in sub aquatic flora and fauna that the island boasts three world record catches.
While Mauritius is the ultimate luxury island retreat, Rodrigues is like its quieter little sister. Not yet on the tourism map, the beauty of this island has remained very much intact. Discover underground caves and secluded covers and hike through pine forests in this authentic and off grid island.
Reunion

Reunion is a real life tropical paradise. High peaks and volcanoes surround the wonderful beach. Over half of the island’s territory is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island’s real jewel is the towering Le Piton de la Fournaise, a 2,621 metre active volcano. Locals celebrate the volcano’s eruption with vibrant and colourful street festivals. The volcano poses no threat to the island and it’s a much loved icon here.
Discover Cilaos, a caldera you can access by road but still trek to reach the top. Huge canyons and tumbling waterfalls drench the path and it’s also home to water sporting activities like canyoneering. You’ll find beautiful, cascading waterfalls tumble within the lush jungles. Trek inwards and discover this majestic multi tier waterfall that gives the illusion of a bride’s veil. Reunion Island is the perfect place to experience the beauty of the Mascarene Islands in a secluded and preserved setting.
