Excellent, could not ask for more!

Accra, Ghana

OOLeSaintGeran gave us the best holiday we could want. My family consisted of my husband and I, two infants and two other adults. We stayed in the 2 bedroom beachfront suite (Room 143/144) with fantastic views of the Indian Ocean and literally 2 steps onto the beach. The room is tastefully decorated, generously-sized very well maintained. The service was top notch, every single member staff was pleasant, respectful, willing to help. You feel like they are all dedicated to making your stay comfortable. Nasser, our butler checked on us each morning and evening, coordinating everything from check in to our daily complementary sundowner cocktails, laundry, etc. He was absolutely amazing. The food in the hotel is world class and with lots of variety. Freshly cooked and served piping hot, we enjoyed every meal. La pointe and the main restaurant were our favourites. My little son had a minor incident which required medical attention and Judith in the hotel's clinic attended to us immediately and doctor was called in within 15mins. This hotel is truly excellent. Not a single complaint. It is expensive but you certainly feel like it has been worth it.

Amazing Stay

Paris, France

We stayed at the St Geran last year for a week with my wife in early late october/november. It was our first visit there and it was an amazing one from the get go. Pashkull (sorry for the misspelling) took us for a quick tour of the hotel and as soon as it was done we managed to go to our room (even if it was much earlier than the normal check in time). Our room was very nice and modern (hotel has been refurbished very recently). During the whole week we really felt at home. To summarize: First and foremost Service: Big round of applause for all the hotel staff (restaurants, room service, beach service, sports center etc). We have traveled quite a lot to nice places and i have to say this was right on par with the best we have ever seen. A special thanks to Pashkull (sorry again) and to the Dive Center (Ludovic, a gem of an instructor) but all staff were great. Hotel & Facilities: The hotel is on a beautiful stretch of beach and quite isolated from other hotels (unlike the other ones further down south which are sitting side by side). The hotel has been refurbished a couple of years ago max so everything is top notch. Hotel Grounds: Everything is manicured to the highest standard (they even trim the palm tress daily so that they look perfect). Food is very good across restaurants. Tapasake is a must do. Need to think about booking in advance but well worth the "trouble". Prime was less to our taste (it is indoor and eating Steaks in Mauritius felt "strange" ). The buffet restaurant (La Terrasse) is impossible to fault in terms of selection and quality. Cons: Nothing was troublesome for us but a couple of things to keep in mind: Swimming Pools: The adult only swimming pool by the main restaurant is, for the lack of better word, strange. In my opinion, it is way too close to the restaurant/lobby area and quite shallow. It is beautiful and provides with a very nice environment when dining but as a swimming pool I am not really convinced. Actually I have not seen anyone in it during our stay. The swimming pool by La Pointe is much better but i can imagine than during school holidays it must be quite busy with children. There is an amazing beach in front of the hotel with sunbeds and great service, so for us it was absolutely not an issue. Golf: Since the refurbishment the hotel has closed its 9 Holes golf course. Not a big problem since there are very nice courses very close (constance belle mare) or slightly further down (Ile aux cerfs and anahita). The problem is that these course are quite busy (residents at these hotels have priority) and it is sometimes difficult/impossible to find a tee time. I could only play twice during our stay (inc. a late start 9 Holes). Rest of the time the courses were full. Would be great if the hotel could have a few dedicated tee times at the nearby Constance golf courses. All in all, i cannot recommend this hotel enough based on our experience even if It is difficult to express in writing the "at home" atmosphere part which played a major role in our appreciation. We look forward to coming back with our kids in the future.
