Yearly anniversary holiday to Mauritius

Kitwe, Zambia

We went to this resort in October 2018 for our 6th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were given a warm greeting and checked in and shown around on route to our room. A gorgeous beach front setting, very impressive. Not an auspicious start though as the room we got was right next to the bar, and the little veranda at the front was right on top of the pool area so incredibly un-private. We were both very tired so went to bed early. The bar was super noisy and we lay listening to it for some time before I went to reception to ask what the heck was going on. I had no intention of putting up with that every night. Despite being told the resort was completely full, they did manage to move us further way to a much nice room, with some privacy on the front veranda and no bar noise, which I appreciated, though it meant packing up again but anyway it was better than moving resort entirely. Top tip, do not get booked into the first set of rooms. Staff handing of the situation - excellent. New room - excellent despite the shower leaking through the door, but that was handled by new towels each day to stop the water going into the bedroom. Complimentary fruit in the room - a nice touch indeed. Flowers on the bed, also a lovely touch. There was nothing like this in the first room. Beach area - lovely but yes not completely private as families came and swam with their kids, which was odd, as this was an adult only resort, so the screaming kids weren't totally welcome. Sea - lovely, blue, warm and a pleasure to swim in. Food at the buffet was great actually and I am not a fan of buffet. The beach restaurant - pricey as you had to pay in for it, even though we were all inclusive, but great food. Amazing lobster. And amazing view of the sea. What a great setting. Staff at the bars were lovely, friendly and helpful. Their sandwiches at lunch time by the bar were a super idea, and all very tasty. The spa - great and well worth a visit. Overall all, lovely place indeed.

Beautiful

Ramsey, United Kingdom

Mauritius is a beautiful island and the photos of this hotel do not do it justice. It’s well thought out. Lovely pools, rooms, dining areas. Attentive staff. The food is excellent too. Would definitely recommend.
