La Vanille Nature Park is a perfect place for a family day out in the south coast of Mauritius. This fantastic conservation reserve is a reminder of how Mauritius used to be hundreds of years ago.  Easy access from the south and west coasts, an afternoon exploring some of  Mauritius' protected wildlife, flora and fauna is on display. Stroll the lush nature trails set under a canopy of banana and palm trees and giant bamboos to see unspoiled scenery and animals from the Mascarenas Islands. Guides at La Vanille walk you along the trails and point out the areas where you will see Aldabra tortoises, Nile crocodiles, butterflies and insects, monkeys, iguanas, wild boars, and more.
