An Idyllic couples-only retreat

Located at the water's edge on a sheltered cove in northern Mauritius, the Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel and Spa proves to be an absolutely idyllic island retreat, with experiences tailor-made just for couples. Romance and relaxation go hand in hand, with superb views of the ocean from spacious rooms, and a fresh contemporary feel throughout, including love nests right by the water to spend your days in. Indulge in a honeymoon treatment at the luxurious spa, or a candlelit dinner for two on the beach, or dine around at one of the four restaurants, and head to one of the two bars for a delightful evening of rum, wine and cocktails.

There is a dive centre in case you feel like exploring the ocean, but otherwise, you can just relax by one of the two pools. For that added luxury, stay in a club suite and be granted exclusive access to The Club Lounge with its wonderful afternoon teas and special concierge and room service. The village of Cap Malheureux and the boutiques and night life of Grand Baie are just a short drive away too, so you can really experience the best of Mauritian holiday experiences.

The Perfect Peaceful Paradise

Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom

Myself and my Husband visited Paradise Cove to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We opted for the all inclusive option and from the moment we walked in our experience was perfect in every way. There is no official check in desk formality, you are greeted immediately by a lovely member of staff who leads you through into the main bar and seating area and we were offered a drink within 2 minutes of our arrival. We then spent 10 minutes or so going through the list of things that were included in our stay (there were lots)! Our room was not ready when we arrived, but that was fine as we sat at the bar enjoying the beautiful views and had some lunch. When our room was ready we were taken on a little tour of the resort and shown our room. We had a standard premium room, which was lovely and clean. I did find some of the decor dated but everything was in theme with the overall look. We were on the third floor overlooking the bay which was great, the only negative I would have to say about the room was that the balcony was very small and consisted of a small double chair, a bean bag and a table this did not make for comfortable relaxing, also the birds kept visiting and pooping (the cleaners did clean this up everyday) but for this reason we chose not to spend much time on the balcony which is fine as the resort is a far better place to spend your time in! Now for the food/service... we are a couple that enjoy good food, and we were not disappointed. My husband loves fish and the variety on offer meant that he was able to try lots of different types across the 10 days that we stayed at the hotel. I on the other hand , do not eat fish, and found there was still plenty on offer, and even if the menu on some of the ‘special meals’ only offered fish, the waiter would ask the chef to cook a beef dish instead. We loved lunch at Indigo overlooking the ocean and mostly enjoyed dinner at The Cove restaurant. The staff are very attentive and were constantly filing up our glasses and would always go out of their way to make your dining experience the best it could be. A special thank you to John who went out of his way to ensure that we got our favourite dessert on our final meal at the resort even though it was not on that weeks menu! In regards to the resort in general, we found it to be very peaceful and picturesque and has fantastic ‘love nests’ scattered around where you and you partner can relax privately. Staff will come round and offer you drinks and cold towels wherever you choose to sit. We enjoyed some water sports whilst we were there and would recommend going out on the glass bottom boat even if just for the views! All the staff working on the resort were so polite and always acknowledged us when we passed them. We visited the spa on a couple of occasions and had treatments, these were very relaxing and reasonable in price. We hired a car for a day which was organised by the hotel so we were able to explore Mauritius, we found some lovely beaches, we found Port Lois and Gran Baie to be quite touristy and no different from the normal holiday tourist resorts. We much preferred to stay within Paradise Cove. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday, I would say this is the perfect place. I know some people have said about paying extras on top of the all inclusive, my husband and I did not choose and supplemented options and still had a very diverse meal choice each night. We were a bit surprised that the mini bar was only stocked with a few beers and that the snacks inside it were hot included in the all inclusive package but as we spent very little time in the room this did not matter. As previously mentioned the only change I would make is in regards to the balcony area in the rooms, but I have heard they are renovating the rooms next year, I would also perhaps say it would be nice to have a jacuzzi somewhere in the resort as this is something we quite often have as a standard whether in the room or in the resort somewhere but there was not one on this occasion. Other than that I could not see any reason why you would not want to stay at Paradise Cove, it most definitely lives up to it’s name and is the perfect escape for a relaxing holiday!! Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so great!

Fantastic holiday

From the first moment we were made to feel like VIPs by the staff. Excellent premises and service, delicious food. Very clean. Details such as fresh flowers, even a hot tub waiting for us after an evening in one of the restaurants, made all the difference. Would highly recommend for a romantic retreat!
