Short visit

We ended a 10 day holiday with 3 days at Kuredu, June 2018. We were in Jacuzzi Beach House 154 near Sangu, a good location. Food was excellent at Sangu restaurant. Snorkelling saw many turtles and sharks. This is a large resort and so a bit less personal than our previous small island resort, and despite being next to Sangu pool, we were disappointed not to be allowed to use the pool. Our room was clean and well maintained, thanks to Ahmed our room service person. We arrived at lunchtime with less than 30 minutes left for lunch and so went to nearby Koamas restaurant. Disappointed that spot on scheduled close time of 2.30pm staff started removing food despite a number of new guests, some with children, trying to catch some lunch. Management need to rethink this. Overall a good resort, clean well maintained, nice beaches and the best snorkelling.

A good spot for a short break

Sydney, Australia

We recently had a short stay at Kuredu Island Resort & Spa. This place was rated well on a lot of sites so naturally we wanted to check it out. We booked their beach villas with all inclusive for four nights. Our villas were conveniently located between three restuarants and bars. Their Spa facilites are great. They have scheduled activities but they need to be booked well in advance. The differnt levels of all inclusive offers allows for managing expenses on this island as it is not a cheap stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, very quiet and relaxing spot. However, we were not impressed with the meal options. Being an island we were hoping to sample selections of seafood, btg the food was more like cafe style. We did not find the waiting staff to be friendly and attentive. We had to ask for drinks and serivce frequently and response was very slow. Being a female I struggled to get their attention to do anything. The one male in the group was able to achieve way more than the ladies. We also booked a half day snorkeling trip but one hour of that was spent doing a tour of Kuredu's other Island resrot. The check in process is pretty easy but the check out is a lenghty process especially if you are leaving the island early. Make sure your discuss your option and choice of time for wake up call. We were told 5.30 am wake up for 7am departure. We requested a 6am instead, but we still ended up sitting around waiting for departure for another hour to board the sea plane. If this your island of choice in Maldives make sure you get as much details about activties and charges when you book.
