Few hiccups

halifax

Spent 10 nights in a Jacuzzi Villa, We arrived in the rain and our Island Host was a trainee who was more concerned about getting dry than explaining how things work, our luggage was still in Male, she then became conspicuous by her absence despite telephone calls regarding our luggage. We had to go to reception 4 times to complain as we needed to go get something to eat, was given at end 2 t-shirts ( 1 was a childs) and toothbrush Our luggage arrived following day. Think there should be contingency plans in place as this must not have been a one off. The AI+ which we was is confusing and not all bars are free the mini bar also has chargeable items which our host didn't make clear..we found more out from Mohammed who serviced the room than the host. The restaurants are allocated for evening meal by which type of villa you are in, food overall pretty good but they have theme nights and a couple were all consisting of spicy food, which I cannot eat. The bar has things going off at night but beware these cost and are not cheap, saw champagne from 99 usd up to 1000 usd. The snorkelling is good went from near the dive station as opposed to from the beach as it can be difficult to get out, in the sangu side there are lagoons where baby sharks swim, and on the end of the jetty at evening the sea is lit up so you can watch the fish..this bar is not free, some drinks are 50% off depending on your package, but wine is not..small bottle of Tiger beer and glass of wine was 14.25 usd, Sea plane an adventure, the free sunset cruise worth going on, saw dolphin pods, did the line fishing at 45usd each for a couple of hours, the crew were fantastic and the chefs cook catch next day for you if you want Would we return sorry but no island lovely, host was rubbish, AI confusing, if this was rectified it could be a lovely island
