Outstanding in every way

London, United Kingdom

Outstanding in every way. The room, resort, facilities, food, experiences, Hurawalhi team and the island were exceptional. Would return in a heartbeat and couldn’t recommend enough. Our host Asumi and Cashmir made our time at the island that little bit extra special. Thank you!

PPP - Perfect, Peaceful Paradise

Perth, Australia

I only comment on tripadvisor if the facility is really bad or very good, well Hurawalhi is excellent! There is nothing to fault about this resort. It is a stunning, gorgeous newly constructed resort with all the modern amenities and luxuries! This is an adults only (15+) resort so we were initially concerned it might be too quiet or boring for us as we travelled as a family of three, but we were pleasantly surprised with the number of activities and entertainment on offer that kept us so occupied that our 6 day stay was sadly too short. It's a small island but cleverly architect that it felt big. It has less guests than most other resorts on Maldives, so no loud group gatherings, no screaming kids, no endless rows of beach chairs or cabanas or race for the best spot on the beach or pool side. The island size and number of guests was perfect that on the beach you feel like you're the only ones there and I thinks that's what made it the perfect, peaceful paradise for us! What we love about Hurawalhi: Overwater villa- very spacious, nicely accommodated us with the extra bed. Furniture are in prestine condition (probably because the resort is less than 3 yrs old). Staff- every single staff from our island host, Hana, to the bartender Willy, to the snorkelling guide Navee, the head waiter Lalith, all service staff and every single staff we passed on a daily basis were so polite and friendly! They never failled to greet us with a sincere smile and made our stay welcoming and special. Oh! from our water villa veranda we could see fish and a very short swim out, schools of fish awaits! Food/drinks- Fresh, delicious and abundance! the selection of alcohol, cocktails and mocktails were unbelievable! We unfortunately didn't dine at the 5.8 restaurant as it's an additonal cost to our all inclusive package, but I heard it's a rare experience and if you can slurge a little more, do try it. It was special to see guests from other resorts dressed beautifully arriving on Hurawalhi jetty to dine at 5.8. Activities/entertainment- snorkelling was amazing! The most fish we have ever seen (and we have been to the Great Barrier Reef) and this is just the house reef, a few minutes swim from our villa. There are heaps of water activities on offer! Every evening there is a wonderful live band and a cocktail party with the staff on one of the nights we were there, it was fun and lively! On arrival to Male airport, the escort to the private Hurawalhi lounge before the sea plane arrives, the amazing time on the island and the same VIP treatment on departure with our 5 hour wait in the lounge due to our later flight out, was flawless and we are grateful for the experience!
