Above and beyond service

Definitely exceeded expectations. The transfers to and from the airport and island were seamless. All of the staff were incredibly attentive. One staff member stood out in particular. Rehman who looked after the bar area at the Spa Village went above and beyond for his guests. He was preemptive in knowing guest preferences. Sadly he informed us that he will be moving on, which will be a loss for the resort as it is not easy in any industry to find staff like Rehman. There are two pool areas - one main one and one 16+ years at the Spa Village. Both infinity pools overlooking the ocean. Good selection of cardio and weights equipment in the gym. Plenty of other activities (squash, kayaks, paddle boards, table tennis and tennis). Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. I am not a fan of buffet; however the selection of food at Feast Village was amazing - buffet style but more live cooking stations. We stayed in an overwater bungalow at the Spa Village which was a beautiful outlook, and we found the room very spacious and comfortable. The Chef’s Cooking Experience is a must do, which includes a cooking class at the resort. Morning yoga with Jay (Jeetendra) was fun - I believe he is highly trained in Ayurvedic Medicine and is a main consultant at the Spa Village for some of their programs, which I wish I had looked into. The Day Spa was incredible - worth a visit! The only thing I would have liked to see would be some hammocks around the island. Perfect place to unwind.

Beautiful Experience

Melbourne, Australia

We have just returned from a 7 night stay in the spa villa and it was simply stunning. The room was immaculately cleaned and the staff were very polite and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, no matter where you were, whether having lunch at emerald bay or breakfast and dinner at the other locations, the service was always the same. The only minor negatives were that you could not swim in front of the resort for convenience, but emerald bay was the best !!! and if you like cocktails, the selection is limited and the same no matter at which location you are at. Accommodation was brilliant and would recommend the spa villa, massages were also amazing. Great place to stay once you get past the 3 to 4 hour drive from KL, however there is a new highway opening which will shorten the drive to 2 hours we believe. Regardless we would still go again as definitely worth it and a great place to relax !!!!
