Kuala Lumpur is an ever-changing city, from the soaring skyscrapers to the colonial buildings, exotic temples and ornate Mosques, this city is a great way to start an amazing trip to Malaysia because there is something for everyone to enjoy. Included in this journey are two excursions from Kuala Lumpur which will see you sample local cuisine, and witness the beautiful and enchanting sight of Fireflies.  After your stay in Kuala Lumpur take the short flight to Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, where lush rainforests are home to some of the most varied wildlife on the planet, but none of them capture the imagination like those 'wild men of Borneo', the flame-haired orangutans. To fully experience this vast and diverse city we would recommend a 3 night stay in Kuala Lumpur at the start of this great combination of city, beach and culture. It’s very easy to get around the city yourself or if you prefer we can pre book a City Orientation tour, highlights include Merdeka Square, The Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, The National Monument and Museum, photo stop at the Kings Palace and Petronas Twin Towers.

Included in your stay are two wonderful excursions - The KL Lifestyle & Food Experience. Enjoy a treasure hunt style guide which will take you to 10 checkpoints around the city, and guide you sample the delicious Malay cuisine. Your second excursion will take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city to a small village called Kuala Selangor. Follow jungle trails before taking to the river where you will witness thousands of fireflies sparkling in the mangrove.

If you wish to add extra time onto your Kuala Lumpur stay why not visit the vibrant city of Malacca. A small, friendly and colorful city rich in heritage and history.



Borneo is home to lush rainforests and some of the most varied wildlife on the planet. Borneo is said to be the nature lovers' daydream, with diverse wildlife, endangered species and breathtaking beaches it's easy to see why. We suggest you spend a few days relaxing on the beach and enjoying all the facilities available at The Shangri-La Rasa Ria. Continue your adventure on the Sabah Wildlife Adventure. This three-night tour is perfect for nature lovers. Visit the world famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and explore the intricate Gomantong Caves. Embark on a Kinabatangan River Cruise and take a look around the city of Sandakan on a city tour. It's amazing how much you can see in just a few days.

Finish your journey with 2 nights at The Shangri La Tanjung Aru. A haven of relaxation - yet close enough to Kota Kinabalu and all its fabulous restaurants and shopping opportunities.
