The striking red and white striped West Quoddy Head lighthouse marks the easternmost point in the United States and overlooks the Quoddy Narrows strait between the USA and Canada.

Built in 1857, the 49-feet high lighthouse is one of the most depicted in American culture, and today welcomes visitors with a number of exhibitions and displays.
