Lanta Old Town

Lanta Old Town is a charming little place with houses and shops built on stilts, perched above the sea. Teak wood-lined streets are home to a cosmopolitan mix of Thai-Buddhist, Thai Chinese, Thai Muslim and Chao-Lay (sea gypsies), giving the town a richly diverse atmosphere.

Fishermen catch fresh seafood for you to eat at the numerous restaurants and there is shopping at the many markets and small shops scattered along the main street.
