Try sea food at Jahazi grill

Nairobi, Kenya

Place is modeled after an ancient swahili village. If you admire such designs, you'd like it here. Personally, I found the rooms to be too small, but the washrooms are decently sized. Beware of the washroom floors though, the tiles are very slippery when wet. Wifi speed is good, complementary water everyday, beautiful beach. Very friendly staff. Overall, good place to lodge!

Totally wonderful

Herne Bay, United Kingdom

My partner and I came here from Nairobi after a few days safari and wanted a good rest and that exactly what we had. The most amazing hotel and staff made this my favourite place. We went to see the butterfly area where they have a man that looks after endangered species and also were lucky enough to see the release of of the newly hatched turtles into the sea, also given a free scuba lesson and a trip out to dive the following day to see the watchful eye of Nathan, the sports manager, all fabulous! The hotel is right into the beach and you do get hawkers walking along but they are not too pushy and usually just want to chat. A swim up bar, a bird and monkey scarer with a catapult as they would be a pest at the dining area. There was one aspect I must mention, at dinner in the evening a man must wear long trousers, not even tailored shorts, unlike the women who were allowed in with beach shorts?? My partner had left all his safari wear and trousers in Nairobi so would have been a problem, however they have many Kikoi for the men to wear, I personally think women should also have a dress code..also booking tables for breakfast, sometimes a super table would be empty until 9.30 with reserved on before the guest arrived, the table could have been used once or twice in that time, so maybe you should give a time so the table can be used more?? Tea and coffee were offered through the day free of charge and was nice to sit on the veranda and admire the fabulous view. The room was bright and airy slightly overlooking the sea, amenities in the bathroom etc..I loved the relaxed ambience here and would come back, as many guest we met were regular visitors.
