Larsens Camp fly-in Safari

Safari in a less explored area

Larsens' tented camp is set on lush lawns along the bank of the Ewaso Ng'iro River, a life line for the Samburu National Reserve. Tranquillity and nature embrace you the minute you enter the camp, with the river being the perfect stage for an endless pageant of wildlife – from elephants rolling and trumpeting in the shallows, to timid impala nervously drinking, and baboons and vervet monkeys swinging through the canopy of trees. An animal viewing platform in a tree enables you to scan the vast Samburu plain.

Inclusive of game drives, Champagne breakfasts on the river bank, sunset cocktails in the wild, bird walks and black-tie dinners in the dining tent, Larsens is the place to be. There are 20 elegantly airy, en suite tents, all raised on wooden platforms, each named after a bird. The tents are spacious with hot showers and an appealing level of comfort with towelling gowns and comfortable leather safari chairs. The dining tent is open on three sides and faces the river – you'll enjoy first-class dinners served by candlelight.
