Magnificent rooms, unfortunately service does not par

Helsinki, Finland

Location is nice at the beach. Directly from the hotel there is no access to the sea, but both sides there is. However, it’s very shallow for about 100 meters from the coastline. Hotel has two modules, main hotel and residence wing. I strongly recommend the last one. Our room was absolutely magnificent, one of the best ever: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both with showers, other has bath also). Spacious walk-in closet, big living room and kitchen. Three tv sets. Our room had a huge terrace balcony but unfortunately there is no sun chairs there in every balcony (only dining table and 4 chairs along with 2 armchairs. Living room A/C was quite efficient, but bedroom was not, and it was a little too warm there. Not too inconvenient though. Breakfast was standard good. Dinner quality was fluctuating. On its best it was very good, especially fish and prawns. Both octopus/calamari and meat was sticky every time. Unfortunately the service there is not at all the level I expect from luxury resort. Restaurant forgot always something (mineral water, wine, etc.). Our tour organizing was not as agreed and we were initially guided to a wrong vehicle. No drinks offered at the pool (sun shining and 32'C). However, most I was disappointed of the help I got to get our delayed luggage. Although they knew what flight it was arriving, they did nothing to assure we got it as soon as possible until I marched at the front desk and refused to leave without our luggage. Room service and cleaning was as good as the room itself, first class. Finally, they was trying to charge room, which was prepaid... Proper training of the staff can get this place very good!
