Tours in Aberdare National Park

Our popular Kenya Horizons tour will take you on an exciting adventure through some of Kenya's best known national parks and reserves. With large distances between parks, devising your own itinerary can seem overwhelming so we have created the optimum route for your convenience and enjoyment.

The tour starts in Nairobi, where you can visit the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, dine at Carnivore restaurant, explore the Karen Blixen Museum and even opt to stay at Giraffe Manor. From here you'll head to Samburu National Park and the Great Rift Valley before making your way to verdant Aberdare National Park. From Aberdare you'll head to Nakuru National Park before ending up in the Masai Mara.

Travel between July/August and October for the best chance of seeing the impressive Great Annual Migration – a stampede of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra travelling 1, 800 miles from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara and back again; spot the rare and endangered Rothschild's giraffe; witness hippos wallowing in the Mara River and flamingos congregating around Lake Nakuru; and float peacefully over the Mara in a hot air balloon safari as you gaze at the Big Five from above.
