Mount Fuji Japan

Standing 3,776 metres high, the snow-capped peak of breathtaking Mount Fuji has long been an enduring symbol of Japan thanks to its near-perfect symmetry and splendour.

A dormant volcano and Japan's highest mountain, the peak is visible from Tokyo and it's even possible to climb Mount Fuji from July to early September. If you'd prefer to keep your feet on the ground, visit Lake Ashi for a sightseeing cruise that offers fantastic views of the mountain from the waters. You can also head to nearby Hakone, a hot spring resort that boasts jaw-dropping views of the majestic mountain.
