Where ancient tradition meets brave new world

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing Tokyo holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

Tokyo is many people’s Far Eastern dream destination, a city whose skyline changes as often as the sun rises and sets. This ultra-modern metropolis was surely designed with one eye on the future and the other firmly focused on the past. Ancient shrines sit side by side with leading-edge technology and though the city is densely populated you will be hard pressed to find litter on the streets. Tokyo is obsessed with fashion and shopping and benefits from some spectacular cityscapes, such as the historic Shibuya intersection. Transfer by bullet train to the ancient imperial capital city of Kyoto. The calming nature of this city distils many elements of Japanese culture into one charming destination.

Our Experts Recommend:
  • Fast and efficient bullet trains
  • Direct flights available from London Heathrow to Tokyo
  • Take in an overnight tour of Hakone and Mount Fuji

Kyoto

Original examples of Japanese architecture abound, to thrill those with a love of all things Eastern.
