Music and Nightlife

The birthplace of the legend Bob Marley, Jamaica beats to its own unique rhythm.

From laidback reggae to upbeat dancehall, music is a central part of the island's culture and expression. So it's no surprise that Jamaica has a fantastic nightlife. Head for James Street in Ocho Rios for bars and discos galore, or try Island Village, home of Margaritaville.

In Negril, some of Jamaica's best reggae artists perform at nightly open-air concerts in peak season and you will find plenty of lively nightspots on Norman Manley Boulevard.
