Honeymoon vacation

We stayed at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in the Bamboo Riviera Grove Suites. Upon arrival, we were checked in at the front desk and our bags were taken to our room. In our room was a bottle of champagne and rose petals to celebrate our Honeymoon. We had a beautiful view of the ocean the entire trip. To make it easy, I’ll list the pros and cons of the vacation. Pros: Staff The staff was amazing. It’s too hard to narrow down just one person to shout out, so I decided to name a few. From the bar: Basil. He is so friendly and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction! From the spa: Amelia and Deandra. These two ladies were very welcoming and kind. From our catamaran: Usher and Rambo, hilarious guys! All of the photographers were so fun on the resort as well. Lastly, my husband lost his Raybans while we went paddle boarding. The Aqua Team looked for his glasses for an hour and half on their own. They pulled them out of the ocean and found us to return them. Thank you Metro and Wesley!!! Entertainment There is always nightly entertainment. Very interactive and to no surprise, very entertaining. Our favorite was the Love and Marriage Gameshow hosted at the Seaside Amphitheater. The Steel Drums knocked our socks off. I would go see their show every night if I could!! Availability During the week of June 18-25, we never had a problem getting chairs in the morning or a seat at any restaurant. Something was always available to us. Food I am allergic to shellfish. The staff was very accommodating with every meal. They would ask for any allergies before starting every meal. Our favorite restaurants were the Southern Table (all around yummy), The Reef Terrace (amazing jerk chicken!), Vista Sky (great breakfast buffet). Cleanliness The entire resort was kept extremely clean. The staff workers were constantly cleaning while we were at the resort (picking up empty glasses, spare/used towels, trash, etc.). Our room was checked by the housekeepers twice daily. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the ocean. Only having been to Jamaica once before, my previous resort had glass littered across the entire beach. Sandals Ochi beach was kept in tip-top shape. Excursions Sandals got our excursion lined up for us through Chukka. We loved our tour guides through Chukka. We visited the Blue Hole (shout out to Julian!), went tubing down the river (Omar and “The Babysitter” were so fun), and zip lining (Our guide, J, learned all 15 of our names during our tour). Lunch was included in our excursion, but was not served until 4:00. I highly recommend bringing a snack or eating right before going on this tour. Cons: The room Although my husband and I shared a beautiful view of the ocean, we also were right above the designated smoking area for the Seaside of the resort. We are not smokers, so the room’s location was a con for us. Most of the smoke from this area blew up onto our porch, so sitting outside was not very enjoyable. Transportation I did not know the resort was split into three parts until arriving at Ochi. The parts include The Seaside, The Hillside, and The Beach Club. The Beach Club is easily accessible from The Seaside, but The Seaside and Beach Club are separated from The Hillside by a busy road. A Sandals bus called “The Hop” runs from all three locations roughly every 10 minutes. It is an air-conditioned bus, and the drivers are very friendly. The only reason I did not like the split in the resort is because I would have rather been able to walk everywhere, but the option for the bus is nice too. My husband and I spent 99% of our time Seaside because we wanted to be on the beach. If you book butler service, you will be Hillside, which I’ve heard is fun too. Overall great vacation!

Midway, Georgia

we cant say enough about the staff at ochos they go to every length to make sure you have a great+ time ! special thanks go out to those special people that made us feel like family . our bar tender everton our concierge rojay and norsha who book us for 2021 at an unbeatable price ! the food was on another level the views were breath taking and the drinks just keep flowing .We also took two excursions the dune buggy trip ( which we broke the time record ) lol and the dunns river falls the only advice i can give is on the falls do not pay them for the cd until they come to your bus or you will wait forever to get it .And last but not least the mobay services were well worth the money we avoided a 2 hr line going and rested and ate 2 hrs prior to our flight out .Although there is not tipping at sandals we suggest you take along 5 dollar bills to tip the bus drivers and for the excursions as these are not part of sandals resort employees .
