Beautiful Wedding & Amazing Week

We traveled 9/2-8, 2018 for my best friends wedding. Based on other reviews I read prior to arriving, I definitely had my reservations; two resorts separated by a road, shuttle buses, golf carts, beach side vs no beach. All and all, none of what I read was a factor at all. Both sides are absolutely gorgeous and have their own distinct personality. The beach side seemed to have more people and more activity, the hill side has a fabulous main pool and was peaceful and relaxing. We loved everything about the resort period. The room: Though we are beach people and prefer oceanfront rooms we followed the group and booked on the hill side at one of the Honeymoon Butler Suites. The room, 7271 (2nd Fl) was spacious, nicely decorated and an end unit which was great for privacy. Lucky for us, we were the only guests in our building the entire week, which was a-w-e-s-o-m-e! The shared villa pool, which I thought would feel creepy, was surprisingly very nice, and the perfect way to start my day with coffee and a book while my husband went for his morning jog. The highlight of our room…our two Butlers. Our Butlers: Shawn & Omar; The best Butler duo in all of Sandals Ochi (Yes! they are that AWESOME)...absolutely Love these two men, down-to-earth, respectful and their attention to detail was always on point. No matter the rain, hot temps or time of day, they always greeted us with a smile (and sometimes a cocktail ;) though not there only guests, they went out of their way daily to ensure our vacation experience was always 100%. Not to mention my husband lost some very expensive sunglasses one evening, and was in a complete funk; the next day when we mentioned it to Omar, he did not stop looking until he located them (who does that other than someone extremely awesome! my husband was ecstatic to say the least). Highly recommend a Butler room category, definitely worth the extra money. The Food: We tried a different restaurant every night...Honestly, did not have a single bad meal the entire week. If I had one complaint, it would be the service at Soy. Sushi was great but service was slow, in fact we ended up walking out before ordering desert, which was a little disappointing. Tapas, Dinos & Bella Napoli…yum, yum & yum. Shout out to Nadine, at the Le Gourmand restaurant where we ate breakfast daily on the hill side. She is friendly, accommodating and always gracious. Ryan, the water aerobics instructor at the hill side was great and kept my hubby active daily (yes!, I read, tanned, drank & watched on the sidelines, LOL). Joyce, on the beach side, was extremely personable, very attentive and always made sure we had a fresh drink. All and all we Loved everything about this resort. My best friend’s wedding was beautiful and we had a fabulous vacation. Going to Regency LaToc next but would return in a heartbeat.

Sandals Ochi Honeymooner’s

We enjoyed our time at Sandals Ochi , the room was amazing! Butler village suite with Calicia and Devin was the ultimate Jamaica experience! They provided and took care of us daily! The room service changed our sheets daily and loaded us up with extra towels! The shower head is out dated in room 7534 ! But im not a tire kicker lol. We loved the food, it was great quailty! I plan to do another Sandals trip, they go above and beyond to take care of the guests! The glass bottom boat tour was a disapointment, 15 mins tops. Good times at Sandals Ochi! - Brian Clark
