Perfect Wedding

Cardiff, United Kingdom

On arriving at the airport in Montego Bay Sandals customers have a waiting room which is air conditioned and provided hot and cold drinks and snacks while waiting for the transfer. We were a little disappointed with our honeymoon garden room and paid for an up-grade, it was quite expensive but the up-graded room was spectacular, overlooking the beach with a lovely balcony. The food at the resort was fab and varied and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The play-makers particularly Jordani, Shenice and Mike were brilliant and we had such fun playing volley ball and other games. Our wedding day was perfect, (6th April 2018) it was just the two of us and I was pretty nervous, but Shaday (and Natalie) guided us through the ceremony confidently and professionally. They were with us the whole time making sure everything was perfect. I felt as though I had known Shaday for some time. The wedding package included flowers and a wedding cake, we had rum and butter-cream and it was delicious. When we went back to our room our bed was decorated with flowers, cards and good wishes and the top tier of our cake was made into a little bed which we thought was a nice touch. We chose our wedding to be in the beach gazebo and the reception in another. The wedding team took care of everything, we could not have asked for more of them, we had a fun, romantic day. Our photographer, did an excellent job, the photos were pricey but worth it for such a special day. My husband is a fire-fighter one of the photo’s included him giving me a fire-mans lift.

Small property but staff with big hearts

Elkton, Maryland

We've always heard about Sandals. Excited to visit. Getting to the property is a long, winding road and once you're there - you're there. Not anything much to do but stay on property, which was small. The grounds were great, the staff were warm and friendly, the rooms were nice and the food was above average. I think if we returned we'd visit the new Sandals property (formerly Whitehouse, I think) or the Sandals on Barbados. I did not feel the concierge service was worth the price paid. We had room problems (no hot water first night, struggled to get a rooms with hot water. Moved to a comparable room which was fine except I got chewed up by ants. Notified them and they sprayed, which took care of the problem. Again, after spending over $6,000, I'd have expected a more upscale environment. Last, we were promised a spa credit when I booked. That never happened. Our friends followed at the same resort in April and had a suite with a butler and plunge pool. They really enjoyed that and loved the great staff at the resort. They, too, felt it was small and secluded.
