Amazing 10 year anniversary trip!!

We stayed at Sandals Negril to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in January. First, I will start by saying that we love Sandals as a brand. The hotels are always clean, comfortable, and the staff in Jamaica are amazing! This was our 4th time to the island, but first time experiencing Negril. (We have also vacationed at Sandals South Coast and Ocho Rios, but Negril was the most beautiful of the 3) We stayed in the Honeymoon Beachfront Butler Suite and the room was perfect. It was an upper unit, in a 4 room building, right in front of the beach. The area of the property was quiet and the views were spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming. We explored the property our first day, and instantly took note to how well cared for the grounds were. They have tons to offer; we kayaked, paddled boarded, played beach volleyball, and did a chartered "booze cruise." We also took excursions to the Appleton Estate, YS Falls, and cliff jumped at Rick's Cafe. (All were wonderful!) We also cannot say enough great stuff about the beautiful beach itself! It goes on for miles, and you can walk to the nearby Beaches resort and take advantage of what it has to offer as well. The food was outstanding, especially the Italian restaurant (Cucina Romana- the head chef was super friendly) and the Sundowner- (amazing steak!) Our favorite part by far was the staff, and we couldn't thank them enough! We had several amazing bartenders, like Lois and O'Neil. We also had a great photographer the night of our anniversary. We didn't book an appointment, so we just found him walking around the property. He captured some wonderful memories for us and went out of his way to find the best locations and poses. The fitness coordinator gave us quite the work out every morning in the pool and he had a super great personality. He made us look forward to working on while on vacation! (The gym was very nice as well) Finally, the entertainment team!!! They made the trip! From pool games, to trivia, to bar sing a longs, they kept us involved and laughing non stop! Shout out to the team: Pooh Bear, Ashley, Sexy Bones, Fedo, and Peanut! You guys are AMAZING!!! (I'd also like to add that their manager is equally incredible!) SO. MUCH. FUN! Thinking about "up down" still makes us laugh! There is only 1 reason why we gave this resort a 4 instead of a 5 rating: We always get Butler service when we stay with Sandals, so we have come to know what to expect. I will say that our butler team let us down on this trip. We barely saw them, and I figured with it being our 10 year anniversary, they would have tried to make it a little more special. Overall, it was a perfect trip and we look forward to going back to Negril soon!

Went to Negril Again!!!

Been to Sandals Negril last year and went again this year. Been to Negril before staying at another chain, but stayed at Sandals twice. We were there from March 6th thru 10th. Did a split stay, 4 nights at Negril and did 4 nights at Montego Bay. We had a direct flight from Detroit which was nice. Got to the Sandals lounge and was taken to the van within 10 minutes. Just enough time to use the restroom and get a beer for the ride. There were 8 of us on the van. Our driver stopped during the drive to use the restroom and to get more beers. Arriving at the resort, we were taken upstairs to the Club lounge. Check in went smooth. Our room was ready so we didnt have any wait. We were walked to the room and our luggage followed within 10 minutes. Last year we had room catagory WGBT Caribbean beachfront walkout club level with tub. This year we switch room catagory to WB-Paradise Honeymoon Beachfront Walkout Club Room. WGBT was a way better newer and larger room, but WB was closer to the beach and better location. Loved both rooms, just wanted a different experience. And will have an even different room next year, booked room 1B,Honeymoon Beachfront Two Story one bedroom butler suite with tub. Food and drinks were good, just like last year. The saving chair game is full force here. Usually stayed at the beach all day then went to the main pool and hot tub to change it up. Food I think here is very good. In the room was robes, beverages, iron , hair dryer, ect. There was liquor but I only drank the red and white wines. I do like their Robert Mondavi wines. There was a wine tasting event in a gazebo that I went to , met some nice people there and tried some different wines. Only left the resort once to go on an excursion. Did the Rasta Safari Experience. Booked it on our own. It consisted off being picked up and taken to their home base over by Sandals South Coast. We drove a razor and had a guide on a dirt bike that gave us a private tour of the real life in Jamaica. At the end had a vegetarian lunch. Whole trip was 4 hours, so it didnt take up a full day. Did alot of tourist excursions in the past -Black River, Pelican Bar, YS FAlls, Margaritavile, Ricks Cafe, One Love Bus Crawl, Catamaran trips, Zimbali Dinner. Walked down to Beaches Negril one afternoon and had lunch there and used their pool. Did not utilize the spa or gym. Checkout went smooth, had to be out of the room at 11:00 and half hour later, a van shuttle came and took us to Sandals Mobay for 4 more nights. Love the jamaican vibe at this resort and cant wait to go back next year.
