Itinerary Breakdown
Lunch, Dinner
Today you will depart Bali for the short flight to Maumere in Flores to begin your adventure. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and you will begin your drive to Moni, a picturesque village located near to Kelimutu Lake. On the way, you will stop at a local fishing village to discover the life of the Bugis and Bajo people who still live in traditionally constructed houses with the impressive Mount Egon as the background.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Sikka and explore an old church built in 1889 reflecting the Portuguese influence in Flores at the time. Your last stop of the day will be the beautiful white sand Koka Beach with crystal clear waters perfect for a cooling swim, before arriving at your lodge in Moni where you will spend the night.

It's an early start today as you depart your lodge around 5am to ascend Kelimutu volcano. From the arrival point, the trek to the top is around 1.5 kilometres followed by 127 steps where you will enjoy spectacular views of the three coloured crater lakes.
After you have descended the volcano you will depart by road for Bajawa, noticing the dramatic change in nature and ethnicity along the way. Stop at Saga, a traditional village of the Ende-Lio tribe and look around the fruit and vegetable market followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon you will have a quick stop at Blue Stone Beach before arriving at your guest house in Bajawa, a small town surrounded by mountains with scenic views over the southern Flores coast.

After breakfast at your hotel you will visit Bena - a megalithic village with impressive stone formations, traditional houses and ancestral shrines. Spend some time exploring this fascinating village and learning about the cultural and supernatural beliefs of the locals. There will also be a photo stop on the slope of Mount Inerie, an active volcano before lunch.
This afternoon, continue your journey towards Ruteng stopping at Ranamese Lake, a 21 metre deep crater lake at an altitude of 1,220 metres, on the way. Surrounded by forest, the lake is a great place for bird watching and you may also see wild macaques.

This morning you will visit Rutengpuu, a traditional Manggarainese village to see their unique slander-shaped houses and spend time with the local people. Afterwards, continue your journey overland towards Labuan Bajo with stops at Lembor and Cancar where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of rice fields.
Upon arrival in Labuan Bajo, check into your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Today you will embark upon your journey to the famous Komodo National Park, home to the Komodo Dragon. Depart your hotel for the harbour where you will board a boat and set sail for the day. Your first calling point will be Kanawa Island with its white sand beach and crystal clear waters, where you will have the chance to snorkel among the colourful reef. Afterwards, continue sailing to the uninhabited Padar Island, the third largest island in the national park where you will be rewarded with magnificent views from the top of the hill. Lunch will be served back on the boat before you reach Rinca Island, popular for its population of Komodo dragons. Walk around the island with your ranger to see these magnificent giant lizards in their natural habitat. On the way you may also see wild pigs, buffalo and birds. Set sail back for Labuan Bajo passing through Kalong Island where you will discover thousands of giant bats.

Enjoy a morning visit to Batu Cermin Cave also known as "Mirror Rock". Through a hole in the cave, the light finds its way inside and reflects off the rock in a spectacular light show. Afterwards, you will visit Werang village where you can swim in the natural Cunca Rami Waterfall and join a 90 minute walk through the plantations, relatively untouched by the modern world. Observe the various stages of rice cultivation and the traditional drying methods, keeping an eye out for bananas, cacao, vanilla and avocado as you go.
Return to your hotel this afternoon and the rest of the day is at leisure.
