Komodo National Park Holidays

One of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, Komodo National Park is easily most famous for its Komodo Dragons, but that's not all this part of the central Indonesian Archipelago has to offer.

The rich marine environment is home to over 250 species of coral, manta rays, turtles, whales, dolphins and over 1000 species of fish. We love spending a few days in this area alternating between trekking on Rinca and Komodo Island to discover the dragons in their natural habitat, and snorkelling the surrounding azure waters to experience the amazing underwater world.

For the perfect end to your Indonesian travels, spend some time in Bali. Or, visit Lombok for peaceful shores and total serenity.

"Take plenty of suncream with you on the boat journey from Labuan Bajo harbour to the islands of the national park, it's lovely to sit on the deck and soak up the scenery but the sun is intense and it's easy to get burnt."

"Make sure to wear sturdy but comfortable footwear as you walk around Rinca Island in search of the native dragons. There are several trails you can take, short, medium or long depending on your level of fitness but whichever you choose you will definitely be glad of having the appropriate shoes."
