Drive past the Red Fort and through the modern city built on 17th century foundations and arrive at the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India which stands high on a hillock. On the way back from this elegant temple, the tour visits Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s shrine. Next visit New Delhi. Drive past the President’s House, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the two flanking Secretariat buildings – the nerve centre of government activity. Driving down this hillock is the India Gate, the great memorial arch built to commemorate the slain heroes of World War-I and the Indo-Afghan War. Around India Gate are palaces of some of the former Indian princely states that are now public offices and museums.

Visit the precursor to the Taj Mahal, Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD features magnificent architecture and gardens. In the vicinity of Humayun’s Tomb is the grave of Delhi’s most revered Sufi Saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin.

Leave Delhi and take the scenic drive to Agra which can take up to approx. 5 hours. On your arrival at Agra, check in to the hotel and have the evening at leisure.

Wake up early for your day in Agra as at sunrise you'll visit the world famous Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel took 17 years to complete and is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble. (Please note: Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). 

Later in the day take in the glorious sights of Agra, before spending the rest of of your day at leisure.

Today leave Agra for Bharatpur railway station to board the train to Ranthambore, visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. Arrive in Bharatpur to enjoy a buffet lunch before continuing on to Ranthambore, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the evening.

Enjoy a morning and afternoon shared jeep safari to spot wild tigers, sambar (deer), sloth bear, marsh crocodiles and a variety of eagles and other bird life. Ranthambore National Park has three entrances to the sanctuary. For conservation reasons the use of each gate is regularly rotated and cannot be guaranteed. A one hour village visit is also included.

After breakfast you will leave Ranthambore behind and travel to Jaipur (approx 4-5 hours) where you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast depart for Amber Fort, a romantic Rajastani Fort Palace. En route to the Amber Fort you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – also known as the Palace of Winds. In the afternoon take a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence and later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world.

After breakfast you will depart Jaipur for Manesar (5 hours drive) before continuing your journey to Delhi, where you will check in at your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Spend your last evening in pure luxury by upgrading to The Leela Palace New Delhi.
