Enjoy a sightseeing tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi, the 300-year-old walled city built by Mughal emperor Shah Jehan as his capital in 1648. The focus of the city is the magnificent red sandstone Jama Mosque. Drive past the Red Fort, where the Prime Minister of India addresses the nation on India's Independence Day. Visit Jama Masjid, standing high on a hillock and India’s most elegant mosque. Around these two focal points of the 17th century is a thriving modern city in a medieval setting. This area once had a tree-lined broad central avenue, with a canal dividing the thoroughfare. On the way back, visit Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi's shrine.New Delhi is the early 20th century British capital designed by Sir Edward Lutyens and Herbert Baker. Drive past the President's house, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the two flanking Secretariat buildings - the nerve centre of government activity. Then onto the India Gate. Around India Gate are many palaces of the erstwhile Indian princely states, now public offices and museums. Visit the precursor to the Taj Mahal, Humayun's Tomb, built in 1565 AD by the widow of the second Mughal emperor Haji Begum.Later, visit the Qutab Minar, standing 72 metres high. End the day by visiting the Hindu heritage of the city, the Lakshmi Narayan temple

After breakfast, depart on the drive to Agra. After the 4-5 hour drive, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. 

This morning is an early rise as a visit the world famous Taj Mahal, to watch the sunrise is on the cards. Built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Crafted from white marble, this perfectly-proportioned architectural masterpiece took 17 years to complete (please note: the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays).

This morning depart for Jaipur. Stop en route at the Fatehpur Sikri. Located 40 Km from Agra, the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, in honour of the great Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti who blessed Akbar and prophesized the birth of three sons to the heirless Emperor. Akbar used Fatehpur Sikri as his capital and the city was  fully occupied for 14 years but slowly became deserted and ruined after Akbar left the city

After breakfast depart for the classic and romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not be impressive from the outside, but the interior is a paradise and is sure to impress. En-route to Amber fort there will be a brief photo stop at the Palace of Winds, (Hawa Mahal) In the afternoon take a sightseeing tour of the city, visiting the Maharaja's City Palace, the former royal residence and the Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Depart for Delhi (5hrs/260km) for your onward flight.
