"There are a couple of options when it comes to getting to the resort, its best to speak to one of our destination specialists to find out the best route for you. Although we recommend flying into Port Blair from either Mumbai or New Delhi where you can catch a 2 hour 30 minute catamaran journey straight to Havelock Island."

Almost stunningbut will get there.

Chipping Ongar, United Kingdom

Located just a few yards behind India’s best beach the resort is relativelynew and is still finding its feet.We had 9 lovely days here over Christmas and New Year. The villas are large and beautiful with excellent space and privacy . Staff are super and nothing is too much trouble though sometimes requests can get a little muddled but that will resolve itself . Food, superb especially the fish buffets though disappointing the best wine is Jacobs Creek . There is a shortage of beds around the pool and down on the beach where I know they have limited space but what they have could be used with decent loungers rather than simple camp beds. Some building works are ongoing and the scuba centre is alomost complete. A number of teething problems will be sorted and this will be a truly stunning and luxurious resort.

Good - Not Excellent Yet !

Schaumburg, Illinois

The resort is not ready completely and lacks the infrastructure support that is needed. They seem to be charging the full rates and is a lot more expensive compared to other resorts on the island however the amenities and infrastructure doesnt seem to be ready yet. Starting with the road leading to the resort, accessibility is an issue. I think another year or so, the property will be great. I have stayed at other Taj hotels and the infrastructure you expect from Taj is simply not there yet. There is only one restaurant choice on the property and with nothing else accessible you cant go out and hence dont have much choice for food. The included breakfast is nice but the lunch/dinner have limited options and are very pricey. While the staff is great, the service appeared to be slow. A couple of times we ordered tea for room service and had to follow up. On the positive side, the cottages are very nice and spacious and well equipped. The staff is courteous and always there for your service. They do a nice welcome for all the guests. The beach is beautiful with gorgeous sunset views and an ideal location for swimming or just spending time in ocean. I was struggling with rating of 3 Stars or 4 Stars - but the 4 stars are more for the beach, staff and the cottages.

Signature Experiences

Explore the secrets of the underwater life with the incredible excursions on offer. Try night kayaking in the mangroves, row in pairs post-sunset towards the unique eco-system, you'll hopefully spot rare species such as the White Bellied Eagles and Blue Eyed Andaman Bulbuls. What makes this excursion extra magical is the hundreds of tiny phytoplankton that light up in the still, dark waters. Other exciting trips include Game Fishing, Snorkelling & Scuba Diving and Turtle Nesting. As Andaman is one of the richest coral reefs in the world, its a must see when you visit the beautiful island.
