Grenada Holidays

Relax and unwind on the beautiful island of Grenada, home to powder soft sands and topaz waters. With possibly the prettiest capital city in the Caribbean, Grenada is picture-perfect.

Treat yourself to some of the island’s locally sourced and handmade chocolate; see how it’s made at the Belmont Estate and take some home to your loved ones…if you don’t eat it all first. For yet more culinary delights, head to Patricks, a great tapas-style restaurant where you can taste the true Caribbean in up to 20 dishes. For the more active traveller, why not enjoy a spot of river tubing? Hop inside a large ring and sail down the colourful river bank.

Grenada also boasts a range of hiking trails through the lush rainforest and jungle; head to the refreshing waterfalls and spot Caribbean wildlife on the way including hummingbirds, lizards and the Grenada Mona monkey. You’ll never want to leave.

The aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove will stay with you once you’ve left Grenada. Famously known as the Spice Isle, this beautifully green Caribbean island awash with waterfalls, lakes and stunning beaches, has been cultivating spices for more than 100 years. You’ll relish the aromatic flavours of their cooking and a visit to the capital of Saint George’s – known for its pretty European-style buildings – is a must.

  • Natural Wonders

If you like a mystical tale, you’ll love the story behind Grand Etang. Legend has it that a mermaid deity, Orisha, lured men to their death in the highest crater-lake on Grenada and that this 550 metre-wide pool is actually bottomless.

  • Cuisine and Street Food

Also known as the "Island of Spice", Grenada is home to many plantations such as Nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and cocoa, and much of the island's cuisine is suitably spicy - especially the hot pepper sauce.

“Grenada is generally not an all inclusive destination, and for good reason in my eyes. It’s really easy to get out and sample the vast array of tasty fresh food available, and it’s all well priced too.”

“Challenge yourself to finishing the seven course menu at Spice Island, but make sure you save space for the best course – dessert. The chefs aren’t afraid to experiment with flavours and often surprise you with a culinary masterpiece.”
