The Everglades

Like no other place on earth, the Everglades is the watery, humid, swampy home of Florida's subtropical wetlands.

The wetlands sprawl across more than 800,000 hectares, the southern 20 percent protected in Everglades National Park. There is a vast range of wildlife to be seen in the Everglades; from Florida panthers to manatees, crocodiles and alligators.
