Everglades National Park

The Everglades are vast subtropical wetlands, home to 25 kinds of mammal, 400 bird species, 60 reptile species and 36 threatened species including the Florida panther, the American crocodile and the West Indian manatee.

The park is famous for being the best place to see alligators; enter the park and head for the Shark Valley Loop off the Tamiami Trail to see them sunning on the tarmac.
