Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands Multi Centre

History and Culture blend with Nature

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing Ecuador holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

Ecuador is the smallest of the Andean countries but this doesn't mean it has little to offer budding travellers. Incredible historical, cultural and natural diversity are all abundant and you can discover ancient indigenous markets, colonial churches and striking Inca Ruins. We would definitely recommend spending some time in Quito which was recently voted South America's leading tourist destination and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, full of Spanish architecture and cobbled streets. Take in sights such as the Equatorial Line Monument or why not take a day tour to the Otavalo Indian Markets? No trip to Ecuador would be complete without a visit to the world famous Galapagos Islands and our holidays here meet the strict responsible tourism criteria laid out by the Galapagos National Park Directorate (GNPD). This island archipelago dates back six million years and is home to many unique species of mammals and birds. Spend your days cruising around these extraordinary islands whilst absorbing the remarkable wildlife and tropical paradise that makes this one of the most incredible natural ecosystems on earth.

Our Experts Recommend:
  • Incredible history in cultural Ecuador

On arrival into Quito, we highly recommend you take a tour of the charming town, recently voted South America's leading tourist destination. There is no bad time to go to Ecuador and the UNESCO World Heritage Site is beautiful to behold all year round. Full of Spanish architecture and cobbled streets, the colonial history will astound you. The colourful sea port of Guayaquil has a relaxed Caribbean vibe and it is a great place to relax in-between exploring the Andean Highlands. No trip to Ecuador would be complete without a visit to the Equatorial Line Monument - known as the middle of the world. The monument marks the spot where an 18th century French scientific expedition established the exact position of the Equator. Time permitting, we also suggest you pay a visit to the Otavalo Indian Markets.
