great resort, great service

Another wonderful week in paradise. Great resort, great food, great service. All of the employees were very nice, but Martin V. in the World Cafe made our mornings particularly enjoyable. He provided great service and was so nice to everyone in my family.

Dreaming about Dreams

Edmonton, Canada

First time in Cabo and first time at a Dreams resort. Pleasantly surprised by both and already looking forward to coming back next year (or sooner!) Highlights were the genuine and friendly staff. Special kudos go to Noemi at the lobby bar (and occasional Mexican night) for some of the best margaritas ever poured. Try ones with the jalapeño or habenero syrups that she makes. Wow! She is a true gem! And we loves Jonathan too (but our drinks were always made by Noemi). Also, ginger syrup. Delish! So many fresh fruit drinks here. Rosa at Cocos is wonderful. Thank you for the service, always so warm and welcoming. Rolfi in entertainment Manuel & Elsa at the main pool were excellent (thank you) Enrique, Alexis and the ever elusive Yoshi at Barefoot - you guys made our beach day awesome. Juan at the steakhouse helping with my Spanish and sadly I don’t know the name of our housekeeper but the room was immaculate. (Good pillows/semi firm bed) Check in and out with Gabriel was quick and friendly and thanks to Israel with our luggage! Great start to the stay. The resort is beautiful. It’s welcoming and very clean and it’s small enough that you get To know people but big enough to not feel boxed in. We enjoyed the palapas on the beach, the quiet adult pool but spent the majority of the time by the main pool where we met lots of great people. I loved that you could get snacks for lunch deliver to you poolside! Great wings, burgers and onion rings! The best I’ve had anywhere. They also have tacos, paella and other offering cooked out that changes daily. The buffet is on the smaller side with a few minutes wait at breakfast, but excellent selection. Portofino was truly excellent. Great service, nice menu, food was lovely. The opera cake was simply amazing. We also enjoyed the French restaurant (get the flambé coffee) and the steakhouse for dinner. The beef empanada appetizer is AMAZING. Zero food complaints. There is a little Of course you can’t please everyone all of the time. If you want a good spot, get up early. There is no ice cream at this resort or popsicles which I personally love and need throughout the day on vacation and that was my one ‘real complaint’ 😂 The pool is not heated and it’s cold as heck but I’m sure it is much warmer not in the winter. But it’s a great cool off under the burning sun. There is a bit of a high pressure time vacation club, but if you don’t want to do the ‘free breakfast’ ‘cheap massage’ don’t. This is a really nice resort but that sort of put me off a bit. The spa prices are quite pricey, however but if you want a massage go 10 feet east of the property and get one on the beach. Those ladies were wonderful and $50 for 70 minutes was well worth it. If we had stayed longer, we would have gone back for another! I didn’t think I would like Cabo this much. 100% coming back here with my husband. The only way it could get better would be being able to go into the ocean. But obvi, to no fault of the resort. I wouldn’t even consider going to Maya if I could ocean swim here. Thanks Dreams. (Please get some ice cream & popsicles!)
