Great stay

Norwell, Massachusetts

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this resort 3/11-3/18. The resort is beautiful and well maintained, we had a beautiful pool access room which was ideal for us. The things that make this resort truly great are the people. Everyone from reception to maintenance made us feel special. Each guest is assigned a “butler” that attends to your every need, we were very fortunate to have Francisco as our butler, he was wonderful there was nothing that we asked for that wasn’t met with “of course no problem”. After a couple of days we felt that Francisco was more our friend than butler. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but the entire experience was wonderful. No buffet lines, good food, top shelf alcohol and great staff what more could you ask for. We will return. George & Barbara Thomas

Zoetry Feb 2019

We were at this wonderful resort for 5 nights at the beginning of Feb. It was our 7th time to visit this resort so I have many reviews on TripAdvisor. It had been a few years since our last visit and the resort has made a few changes but still is the best Caribbean experience we have had at any resort and we travel a lot. Just be aware that Zoetry is meant to be a relaxing, pampered type of resort to chill out. The beach is very large for a small resort and the water was perfectly clear and calm when we were there. A few rocks but water is so clear you see them with no problem. Lots of chairs, lounges, palapas etc. The 2 infinity pools are beautiful as are the long winding pools that run the length of the rooms on both sides of the resort. New pathways to the hot tub are nice. Grounds are beautiful. A few changes include new wooded chairs in the grassy open areas and the “tea time” area in the middle of the resort. They moved those chairs around for the Superbowl Party to a large grassy area just but the main pool. They had a buffet and bars set up and the game on a large screen which was pretty cool. A violin player played before the game and she was very talented. We also noticed the relocation to an outdoor pavilion for the pool table where many used before and after dinner. A beautiful Spa and you have access to the Spa facilities whenever you want such as the pool, heat rooms, etc. Also a free 20 min massage is included so book it early. Resort was in excellent condition. All the rooms are nice, including swim out, ocean front, upper levels, some Cabana suites etc., some with more of a view, but not a bad room or location in the resort. There has been some staff turnover with Amresorts expanding so rapidly but was nice to still see familiar faces. Each room gets a butler and best way to contact is with the whatsup app. We had Enrique who was great. Checked in on us daily and was available anytime we needed him and he followed through immediately. The food is always good at Zoetry. 3 restaurants open for dinner and they also have some theme night dinners like Dominican night. Olena also has Italian food and we have had Italian food before in the DR and has never been very good but not this time. The Italian was excellent. Lobster is a meaty lobster and not the small Caribbean lobster you find at most resorts. Service is not speedy at dinner but not too slow so just relax and enjoy the experience. Wine is good for house wine and better wines available for purchase. Lunches at Indigo are very good and large in this beach side restaurant. You can also have meals served anywhere you like. Beach, pool, room, wherever. They were happy to serve us our bucket of Presidente beers poolside and on the beach. Drinks are made fresh and high end alcohol available everywhere. The lobby is the hangout place at night. There is light entertainment in the lobby each night. Guitar players to trios who are entertaining. And people do dance! There are more physical activities too. Morning stretch and aerobic workouts, aqua aerobics, yoga, and a fun aqua cycling class. They have an indoor gym and offer complimentary water sports too. They still have the complimentary horse back riding. If you want more activity at night or shows you can visit the sister resorts which are about a 10 min cab drive away and stay for dinner and entertainment or the casino. We heard they bought the lot next door where the stables are located (and heard they may be adding another separate resort there in the future). If there is something you want at Zoetry just ask, they are there to accommodate you. It was great to see some old friends from our past trips. Magali helps make our stay great, one of the reasons we keep returning to Zoetry. Yeimi is always smiling and checking on you. It was good to see Juan Carlos. Others such as Jenday, Castillo, Jessica, Nicholas, really just too many to mention all but they make your stay great. We did a split vacation with 5 nights at another resort not part of Amresorts and it was a really nice resort. After arriving at Zoetry the difference is notable that you are getting the exclusivity that other resorts don't have. Everything is a little better at Zoetry. I again would highly recommend this resort.
