Our New York and Dominican Republic multi-centre is the ultimate city and beach combination. It’s perfect for those wanting to see two of the best destinations on this side of the world on a first visit, and would also make a perfect honeymoon holiday. 

Visit the Dominican Republic in July and August for warm weather and a dry climate, or escape the crowds and travel between December and the end of February. There’s no bad time to visit New York. If you visit in July and August you can enjoy the warm summers and many rooftop bars, while the winter brings beautiful snow and Christmas festivities. 

Begin in New York where you can take a bite of the Big Apple as you shop in some of the most famous streets, lined with designer labels and with plenty of fantastic places to eat when you’re tired. Head to the top of the Empire State Building for incredible views, take in the city’s famous skyline, see the Statue of Liberty or take a wander in Central Park. You can also live like the locals in the trendy cafés and bars of Soho, Greenwich Village and Little Italy. 

Next, board your three and a half hour flight to the glorious white sandy beaches of the Dominican Republic. Spend your days relaxing and listening to the sound of the waves with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other. Alternatively, enjoy water sports such as sailing, kayaking, snorkelling or scuba diving.

New York is perhaps the most famous city break destination in the world. It’s home to a famous skyline you’re likely to have seen hundreds of times before you actually reach the city, as well as plenty of sightseeing opportunities.

Shop along Fifth Avenue and pick up beautiful designer fashions, before heading to Soho for all of the trendiest new eateries. When it comes to sightseeing, you can head to the top floor of the Empire State Building for the best views, or wander through Central Park and soak in the views of the skyscrapers surrounding it. The Statue of Liberty is not to be missed, as well as the New York Public Library and Grand Central Station.

Culture lovers should head to The Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met), where you can see Greek, Roman, ancient Egyptian and modern art. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) is home to famous Picassos, Starry Night by Van Gogh, Matisse pieces, Monet and more. Alternatively, catch a show on Broadway and experience the lively American audiences.


The Dominican Republic is the ideal destination for those wanting to simply relax and unwind. It’s home to powdery white beaches and luxury resorts where you can spend your days doing exactly what you want to, knowing everything is taken care of. For adventurous visitors there’s plenty on offer here too. Try one of the world’s of the best surf spots at UNESCO listed Macao Beach, or make the most of the crystal clear waters and 20 miles of pristine beaches along the Coconut Coast.

For a lively day out, why not visit the island’s capital – Santo Domingo? Its colonial architecture dates back to the 16th century and is home to Spanish buildings and pretty cobbled streets. Take a Segway tour and explore the many little backstreets and lively markets, or simply spend the day wandering between restaurants, bars, cafés and shops.

History lovers will find plenty for them in Santo Domingo. See Christopher Columbus pointing north in Columbus Park or visit the Caribbean’s first cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor.
